Yesnaby is on the west coast of Orkney mainland, this work exemplifies how Rae explores the culture of a place to make her art; the stories behind a landscape. The work is infused with a gentle golden light juxtaposed against  the bold geometric shapes and dark tones of the fields in the foreground. Rae uses screenprints to explore the special marks, washes and layering that can be achieved with this medium.
