Grosvenor School speaking of 1920’s Art Deco. This is late 1920’s Ballet Russes – the influential company founded in Paris by impresario Sergei Diaghilev. Stravinsky and Debussy wrote works for the Company; Matisse and Picasso provided designs.  And this, in many ways, is perfect subject matter for Power: we’ve grace of movement; repetition of form and pared down figures with such attractive subject matter.
