Graham Isom's latest limited edition in his Racecourses of the United Kingdom series features one of the greatest of all courses, Ascot. Ascot was fouded in 1711 by Queen Anne, and now stages 25 days of the highest quality flat and National Hunt racing each year, including the world-famous Royal Meeting each June. This painting depicts The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot in July 1999, in which the grey, Daylami, ridden by Frankie Dettori, Nedawi, ridden by Gary Stevens, and Fruits of Love, ridden by Olivier Peslier, battle for supremacy in an epic race eventually won by Daylami.
